Ping Me 24/7 ("we", "us", "our") is a WhatsApp-based reminder service operated from the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the Data Controller for personal data collected through this service.

We collect only the minimum data needed to provide the reminder service:

We rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)): Processing your phone number and reminder data is necessary to deliver the reminder service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): Keeping basic interaction logs to prevent technical errors and maintain service reliability.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): By messaging Ping Me 24/7 on WhatsApp, you consent to receiving reminder messages from this service. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying PAUSE (to stop reminders) or DELETE ACCOUNT (to remove all data).
4. How We Use Your Data
- To send you WhatsApp reminder messages at the dates and times you specify
- To send monthly digest summaries of your upcoming renewals (Essential and Family plans)
- To process subscription payments through Stripe (payment plan users)
- To improve service reliability and fix technical issues
- To send deal alerts from UK comparison partners before insurance renewals (opt-in, Essential plan and above)
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering your reminders.
5. Who We Share Your Data With
We share data only with the third-party processors required to run the service:

We do not sell your data to any third party, ever.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure). We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. Access to the database is restricted to the Ping Me 24/7 application only.
Payment information is never stored by us — it is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS certified.
7. Data Retention
- Active account: Data is retained while your account is active.
- Inactive accounts: If you have not interacted with the service for 12 months and have no active subscription, your account data will be deleted automatically.
- On request: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by typing DELETE ACCOUNT in your Ping Me 24/7 chat. Deletion is processed within 30 days.
8. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
As a UK resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Right to rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure: Ask us to delete your data (or use DELETE ACCOUNT in chat)
- Right to restriction: Ask us to stop processing your data without deleting it
- Right to data portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent: Reply PAUSE to stop reminders, or DELETE ACCOUNT to remove everything

9. Opt-Out and Unsubscribing
- Reply PAUSE to temporarily stop all reminder messages
- Reply RESUME to restart reminders after a pause
- Reply STOP to opt out of all messages entirely
- Type DELETE ACCOUNT to permanently delete your account and all data
10. Cookies and Website Analytics
The Ping Me 24/7 marketing website (pingme247.co.uk) does not use tracking cookies or analytics services. No cookies are set for advertising or behavioural profiling purposes.
11. Children's Privacy
Ping Me 24/7 is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active users via WhatsApp. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
